It's official...Nicholas is a big kid! Last night, Nick decided that he was going to lay Nicholas down in his big boy bed (just a twin bed with a trundle under it). I of course protested that my wittle Nichowas was far too little/young for a big boy bed...but it looks like I have been proved wrong.
Oh, my poor heart, when I checked on him last night...to see him sleeping under the covers, his little arm thrown up behind his head, sound asleep in such a huge (to him) bed...and then to look and see his crib empty. *sniff*
Anyways, I had my 6 month appointment the other day, and surprise, surprise! I'm measuring SMALL! *eye roll* My doctor said the reason is because the baby is SIDEWAYS in my uterus. Yes, folks, I am so wide that a 6 month old, 2 lb. baby is perfectly comfortable laying horizontal inside of me. Great.
The doctor also mentioned my SIX POUND WEIGHT GAIN!! Ugggggh.
So.
I have put myself on a 'diet' of sorts. I am not going to gain 80 lbs like I did with Brynn, or even the 45 I did with Nicholas. I am going to eat so freaking healthy...and I actually have been! My new idea is that anytime I'm wanting to just snack, without being hungry, I'm going to clean my tail off, and if I'm still wanting a snack, I'll have something healthy like an orange or a glass of skim milk.
I want to gain as little weight as possible (while still eating plenty for the baby of course!) because I am one of those women who simply cannot lose weight while nursing. As soon as I start to lose weight, my milk supply goes down. So now is the only time to do it until after I'm done nursing.
So in about 10 minutes, I'll be driving my pregnant butt to the Y and work out!
Oh. And on the cleaning thing...how about I am freaking NESTING?!?! I never once had the urge to clean a darn thing while pregnant with Brynn or Nicholas. But as of a few days ago...the house is freaking spotless. We're talking I worked well over an hour scrubbing every last inch of the stove, bought $40 worth of new cleaning supplies, vacuumed every square centimeter of the house (with our newwwwwww vacuum cleaner!), and have made sure the house is gleaming. Gah. I really normally loathe cleaning with every inch of my body, and in the past thought pregnant women who claimed to 'nest' were looney headcases...but here I am, smiling from ear to ear while I'm sweating up a storm mopping the floors and bleaching the sink!
Alright...a few pictures to end this long blog...
How my maniac son carries his sippy cup around the house. He thinks he's clever...
(nice face, moron)
Proof that, yes, he is handsome, he just makes unfortunate faces 99% of the time.
The children (and Honey) cowering with Daddy while Mommy furiously vacuumed around them. *I love this picture*

My gosh, you have such a precious family! Cannot even believe they all look good in that shot, even the dog!
You, my dear, are brave. I can't imagine Brooke sleeping in a real bed just yet. (she's just a little younger than Nicholas) Knowing my child, my first thought is that she will climb out of it and wind up asleep on the floor somewhere. :) Wow. I guess he's not so little anymore, huh?
P.S. I gained 50 lbs while pregnant with Brooke.. not doing THAT again! :-/ I eventually lost it all, but had to go on a low carb diet to rid myself of the last 10 lbs which would NOT go away otherwise! So I'm with ya on that, and good luck!
love that last pic of nick and the kids, so cute!
