I hate rainy days

Okay, well I only started hating them once I had kids. Before, I loved rainy days because they always made the perfect 'lounge around in your pj's and read a good book under an afghan, take a nap, order some Chinese, and watch a dumb movie'. Now they mean restless kids and bad hair.
Anyways, while Nicholas is taking his nap, I figured I'd post those promised pictures...some are from our rainy day fun...or attempt at it! ;)
Brynn is at that age where getting her to take naps is such a hassle, she really doesn't need them, but some days she takes it upon herself to get some sleep, but it's NEVER in her actual bed...

33 weeks pregnant belly...try not to mind the Malone football sweatpants and the messy bun ;)

With Mr. Nicholas being so sick the past couple weeks, Brynn was starting to act out for attention. Pretending to be sick, or just being very clingy. So Thursday, I told her ALL day that a *very* special guest was coming for dinner, and she helped me plan the menu, we baked a cake, and I told her to put on her very prettiest dress. While she was getting ready for the oh-so-important guest, I decorated the kitchen a little with "We Love You Brynn" signs, some crepe paper, and set the table with a pretty tablecloth, gave Brynn a really pretty plate, and a crystal glass!
She was so tickled when I told her the special guest was HER! And that she could have any kind of drink she wanted (juice!), and that after dinner she could pick two games for the whole family to play (Elefun and Hi-Ho Cherry-O!) and she could have as many books and songs before bedtime.
She also got a cake and we sang "Happy Special Day To You" :)
Daddy took this before dinner...

So proud of her crystal glass

Oh, did I not mention that part of her special requests were that Nicholas had to wear pigtails???

And these are from today...our rainy day fort where I let the kids have lunch (note: they are still in their jammies!)

Nicholas looks like he's posing for a Mac-N-Cheese commercial and Brynn just looks frickin' scary...

That picture of Nicholas with the fork of mac and cheese is hilarious! It really does look like a commercial!:)

I just told some of my co-workers who are still here, that you are theeeee best mom in the whole world. That you are always doing creative things with your kids!!! :o)

I laughed out loud at the picture of Nicholas with the Mac & Cheese haha, and I think it's very comical that of all requests, Brynn wanted Nicholas to wear pigtales. But the funniest part of that is that he looks cute even that way!!!
